Nursing School Commitments

Climate change is a growing public health threat, making it an important aspect of nursing care. However, climate and health are not yet addressed in many nursing curricula.

Nurses must be prepared to care for patients in the context of climate change. They should also understand what actions they and their organisations can take to mitigate further climate impacts and increase resilience to those impacts.

The Nurses Climate Challenge Europe invites you to participate in a partnership to help us achieve the overarching goal of preparing all nurses to better care for patients and communities in a world with a changing climate by joining the Nursing School Commitment.

The Nursing School Commitment is an opportunity to proactively engage and empower nursing students at all levels to join the movement, become confident climate and health advocates, and be leaders in resilient and sustainable healthcare.

The Commitment in English

The Nursing School Commitment is also available in FrenchGermanSpanishNorwegian, Maltese, and Hebrew. If your nursing school would like to commit to educating students about climate and health, please contact us at NCCeurope@hcwh.org.
