Nursing School Commitments

Climate change is gaining attention as a health threat, making it an important aspect of nursing care. However, curricular content addressing climate and health is not yet the norm in nursing programmes.

We have therefore partnered with a small and engaged group of nursing schools from across Europe to establish a Nursing School Commitment - a commitment from nursing schools to include environmental health in their curricula

In April 2021, we launched a Working Group made up of 10 nursing schools from seven European countries to develop the Nursing School Commitment. We aim to publish and translate the Commitment in September.

Is your nursing school committed to climate action and interested in signing the Nursing School Commitment when it is finalised? If so, please get in touch with us at for more information.
